Learn to Skate/Learn to Play
Allston Brighton Youth Hockey's Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs are open!
Learn to Skate (2 sessions 10 weeks each)
Session 1 begins October 17 and ends December 19
Session 2 begins January 2 and ends March 6
Learn to Play Hockey (full season 20 weeks)
This full season program begins October 17 and ends March 6.
The programs run weekly on Saturday mornings at Reilly Memorial Rink at Cleveland Circle. Learn to Skate participates may transition to the Learn-to-Play program which runs concurrently when/if the instructors determine they are ready. Generally this means attendees who can skate forwards, backwards and stop. Attendees do not need to participate in Learn-to-Play and can remain with Learn-to-Skate for the season if they prefer.
Ages
Learn to Skate is available to participants with 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 birthyears.
Learn to Play is available to participants with 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 birth years.
When
The LTS and LTP programs occur on Saturday mornings from 11:30am to 12:15pm. Please see below for important date information.
Learn to Skate Session 1: October 17 to December 19
Learn to Skate Session 2: January 2 to March 6
Learn to Play Hockey Full Season: October 17 to March 6 (no class December 26)
Where
Reilly Memorial Skating Rink @ Cleveland Circle.
Required Equipment
Learn to Skate participants must have their own skates and HECC approved Hockey Helmet.
Learn to Play participants must have their own skates, a HECC approved Hockey Helmet, full hockey pads, stick and a neck guard.
Tuition
Learn to Skate: $250 per session.
Learn to Play: $450 per session.
